Sabrina is experienced in assisting parents with a wide range of lactation and infant feeding challenges, including complex feeding issues related to tongue tie, oral restrictions, and oral function.
She meets with families both pre- and postnatally.
Some common appointment topics include prenatal education, positioning and latching issues, shallow latch, oral ties and oral function, pumping, flange fitting, fussy baby, reflux, bottle refusal, bottle introduction, nighttime feeding, painful nursing, slow/low weight gain, low milk supply, forceful letdown, oversupply, plugged ducts, mastitis, introducing solid foods, returning to work, weaning, and more.

A thorough and comprehensive visit during any stage of your lactation & infant feeding journey from birth through weaning. Weather you are experiencing nursing, pumping, or feeding challenges, going back to work, starting solids, weaning or any other feeding/parenting questions come up, we will create a personalized care plan to help you and your baby thrive.

Babies change quick. We will evaluate progress from the initial care plan, address new questions and make adjustments as needed to keep baby and parent moving in the right direction to reach their breastfeeding goals.

"If you are located on the shoreline of CT and looking for a really knowledgeable, caring and helpful IBCLC (who does home visits!), as a parent and first time mom, I highly recommend Sabrina Granniss as an IBCLC ! My son had a tongue tie and Sabrina was extremely helpful in providing new positions for feeding, holistic recommendations for reflux, as well as tongue function exercises to prepare for his release and post release that made his recovery go very smoothly and quickly!
She provided care plans customized to his needs and engaged with all the providers we worked with (bodywork, Ped dentist) to ensure a seamless and successful release journey - his symptoms resolved quickly post release due to our prep together and eating is much more efficient for him now!
In general, Sabrina is an extremely knowledgeable IBCLC for all things breastfeeding even beyond the release and helped me in a number of areas like pump flange fitting as well, so I highly recommend her for anyone looking for an IBCLC for any reason.
